Nothing Bundt the Best Cake

I guess we’re not eating our bananas fast enough. Cuz, lately, I think I’ve been baking this cake once a week.

And, also, because I love it.

A bunch of ripe bananers!
Softened butter
Shugahhhh
Eggs, room temp.
Vaniller. Not any of our fancy Dominican vanilla, but it does the trick.
Honey! For extra moistness 😅
All-purpose flour (I’m not milling my own yet…) and pardon my storage.
Baking soda 💪🏻
Sea salt. Huh we must have picked this up the last time we were at Costco. (we will be getting our own in the near future! Can’t wait!)
Dark chocolate chips. Cuz I always have some in my pantry. Ya never know when you’ll need some!

Ingredients:

  • 6 very ripe bananas
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temp
  • Vanilla. I never measure, although I eyeball a tablespoon or so
  • Good ole squirt of honey. Think: 1/8 to 1/4 cup.
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • Whole package (10oz) dark chocolate chips (milk chocolate would work too I just prefer dark)

Instructions:

Start heating up your oven before mixing up the cake. 350°. Prepare baking pan… Bundt or whatever else you choose… with butter/spray and flour. (I’m thinking about using regular cake pans so I can share. This makes a very nice large cake.)

In a standup mixer mix all the wet ingredients, adding each one at a time.

Combine all dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add chocolate chips and mix well.

Add to the wet ingredients in standing mixer. Make sure everything is well blended. Pour into baking container.

Place in preheated oven for about an hour or you feel like it’s dark enough.

Let cool until you’re comfortable handling the dish. Turn over unto plate and dig IN!

Let me know if you made it and love it!!

Grace + Common Sense

This world is crazy and if I pay too much attention to it I will lose heart and mind. So what to do? Lavishly sprinkle grace and common sense unto everything: motherhood, spiritual and mental health, wellness, fitness. Life.

Common sense is a luxury… and grace is often withheld where it could be poured out. Thankfully, we have such THE Perfect Example to follow.

This is what my blog is all about.
