The Book of Two Ways by Jodi Picoult
First book for 2025 β (although I did start it the last week of December).
What I love most about Jodi Picoult is how much she invests into researching about subjects. This story was about Egyptian tombs and things which was unique to this one. Iβve learned so much about humpback whales, elephants, prejudice, autism, a breakable bone condition, and more from this amazing writer.
And despite this copy was missing 30 pages about 2/3 way in the storyline was still complete, engaging, and so heartwarming.
10/10 (once again)

One Plus One by Jojo Moyes
An unlikely crew on a roadtrip become inseparable after a series of unfortunate events. Had to keep reading to see what happens in the end!
(Not disappointed).
4/5

If I Could Turn Back Time by Beth Harbison
Books like this sure can make you rethink your life choices and if youβre doing your best in the present.
Following head trauma, 37 year old Ramie wakes up as an 18 year old. She looks back at her life as it was and wonders what would have made her happier.
It was a good one.

Love and Other Consolation Prizes by Jamie Ford
This book was so well written, depicting a part of history that may not be as familiar: early American trafficking of children from Japan and China. Really makes you think about the value of a life.
As a mom itβs hard to imagine the desperation that would cause a woman to give up her child β¦ π
Heβs such a great writer. I will be looking for more titles by Jamie Ford!
Talk to you soon!
