Just Something about a Little Letter E

Baby Caeden. We’ve loved this store for a long time now.

For a couple reasons I’ve been realizing the value in seeking out natural, non-toxic products for personal use.

  1. I’m a person
  2. I’m a mom
  3. I have kiddos

This journey has been ongoing but it’s safe to say a lot more people are interested in this kind of thing, specifically within the past 5 years.

I love that I have access to a whole variety of quality products that shares my values (‘Merica! clean, safe, and non-tox). And let me tell you about a little key letter you can find on the packaging that will determine the quality of what you’re using.

It’s the little letter e.

It means it’s been approved by the European standard: isn’t watered down so that you’re getting the amount that you’re expecting and the ingredients have been held to a high(er) quality standard.

A little more explanation (with a source!):

“This symbol is sometimes seen on cosmetics manufactured in the U.S. It is usually intended to show that the brand meets the guidelines of the EU Directive. And why would this be important? Because the EU has much more rigorous standards where cosmetics safety is concerned. For example, the EU has banned 1300+ cosmetic ingredients. In the U.S. we only have 11 chemicals on the list of restricted ingredients.”

These are just some of the things I purchase from this store because they are truly incredible.

Since I have young children, I want to make sure that they don’t have anything that disrupt the way their bodies are supposed to develop so it’s very important to me as I’m sure it is to you.

I am super disappointed to learn that my favorite shampoo brand doesn’t have the European standard of approval. So I’m trying a new one that guarantees a clean label and I will see if I get to love it as much.

Now I use shampoo, hair products, make up, toothpaste, vitamins, cleaners, and literally so much more that I am using and loving and want to tell you all about.

Are you ready for an upgrade?

I can connect you to the best companies I trust–and before you turn the thought down because you feel like you can’t afford it and—I felt and sometimes feel the same way—I can show you how you won’t just spend out, but how you can also benefit when shopping at these companies. Because they want to support you in return. Isn’t that just good business? And what it means to be American-owned?

Non-tox hair and skin. (They even have products for men, kids–I can attest to this!–and can you believe it?? Pets! Come on now, you animal lovers!)

This one hits a bit different, I’m learning so much and definitely want to share with my friends. And not gatekeep all this for myself.

Thanks for being here to hear it. (See what I did there?)

About THis blog

Grace + Common Sense

This world is crazy and if I pay too much attention to it I will lose heart and mind. So what to do? Lavishly sprinkle grace and common sense unto everything: motherhood, spiritual and mental health, wellness, fitness. Life.

Common sense is a luxury… and grace is often withheld where it could be poured out. Thankfully, we have such THE Perfect Example to follow.

This is what my blog is all about.
